Wasabi Industry Future

The Wasabi Industry Future is full of exciting possibilities.

The future holds a number of surprises to come as more and more research papers are published about Wasabia japonica.

While I realise that predicting the future is a bit like gazing into a cracked and cloudy crystal ball I will stick my neck out and predict that by 2055 Wasabia japonica and its extracts will be part of mainstream medicine and be classed as an approved treatment for a whole range of ailments.

To date we know that Wasabi can be used as food, medicine, cancer killers and a whole lot more.

Since 2004 when a New Zealand company first introduced 100% Pure Wasabia japonica rhizome product to the Nutraceutical and Dietary Supplement industry at the SupplyWest trade show in Las Vegas, an increasing number of manufacturers and distributors have used the product.

Coupled with the interest in the research community to find out what the unique ingredients of Wasabia japonica are capable of doing to improve the human health then I predict that this area is due for massive growth in the next few years.

The Japanese food interest is now regarded as a mainstream food market where more and more Japanese restaurants and take-aways are opening all round the world. The general public has discovered the taste and unusual flavour of Wasabi and are now demanding it more and more in their food. Dressings, mustards, potato crisps, cheese and alcohol are just a few of the new products currently available on the store shelves.

All of this experimentation in flavours and increasing demand is an indication that the Wasabi Industry Future may be open-ended at least for the next twenty years or so.

No doubt, the rise and rise of the Wasabi Industry will follow the classic market curve as shown below.

Note where the Wasabi Industry is on that marketing curve at the present time (2015) – the demand is just about to explode.

Read the rest of the lessons in this course and at the end make a decision whether you want to become part of this Wasabi Industry Future or not.
