Setting up stages for a Wasabi Farm even before you get any plants.

As you see from the above diagram there are 14 stages that need to completed before you even get to plants some wasabi plants.

The four which are likely to be outside your control are Weather, Land, Water and Power. Everything other stage is capable of being completed by you.

These four outside influences are dealt with individually in the following lessons, the rest is down to design and understanding the requirements of the Wasabi plant. For those of you who want to build your own wasabi farm with minimal outside inputs I have produced a PDF book entitled “Wasabi Growers Primer”. This contains all the requirements of the Wasabi plant to grow, together with formula for fertiliser and information on water analysis. You can purchase it here.

Dealing with each stage in sequence ensures that you do not leave something out. The weather, structure, environment control trio are closely linked together and these are likely to be adjusted many times before the best solution is found for your particular location.
