AMA has been at war with Natural Remedies since 1920’s.
There is a War between the Medical Profession (allied with the Pharmaceutical Companies and Bureaucracy) and the thousands of years of support for Herbal and Organic Remedies (sometimes called “Alternative” Medicine).
This undeclared war has been going on since the 1920’s when the AMA decided they wanted to completely control the US Health system, and the money and power that generated.
This war has now spread through all of the Western world and at long last has become noticeable to the citizens it is trying to control.
Currently there is a “Witch Hunt” on against all people or companies that provide products that the Pharmaceutical Companies and the Medical Profession do not make money out of.
This “Witch Hunt” is being carried out in plain sight by means of misinformation and strong-arm tactics by bureaucratic machines and corrupt public servants.
?In the United States of America you have the FDA and State Attorney’s with the aid of law enforcement targeting individuals and small companies for various offences such as labels not showing correct ingredients (such as using a common name instead of a scientific name), DNA tests not agreeing with their laboratory standards, and a number of other non life threatening nit-picking things.
In Europe there is now a regulation that requires all herbs which are used in a supplement to be registered and have a dossier of scientific proof that can be vetted before being sold to the public. The cost of this registration is excess of 100,000 Euros (USD$110,000) per herb, and there is no guarantee that it will receive registration. It is no wonder that small herbal companies that have been around for decades are closing their doors. The public are the losers in all this, and the only companies that benefit are the very large multinationals with deep pockets. It should be borne in mind that now in the EU most herbal companies are now owned and operated by Pharmaceutical Conglomerates.
Australasia has a similar system in place which also covers New Zealand. In addition, New Zealand in March 2016 there is a new law comes into effect that requires all farms, processing plants and storage facilities that grow or deal with any product that can be consumed in any form requiring an annual registration evaluation. Since New Zealand is primarily an agricultural nation, it means that a Government department now controls all the foodstuffs within the country. As usual it all costs to get a registration and the additional costs of that evaluation – no indication what the real costs will be. If a registration is refused, there is no means of appeal – does anyone see a possibility of corruption and industrial espionage on a massive scale?
