Duck with Orange Wasabi Glaze
Ingredients
10 duck legs
2 Tbsp salad oil
zest of 1 orange
2 pieces Chinese Five Spice or 2 tsp Five Spice powder
6 cloves
10 black peppercorns
1 slice crushed ginger
For Orange Glaze:
1 cup fresh orange juice
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp balsamic vinegar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp coarse black pepper
1 Tbsp cornstarch slurry
1 tsp Namida® Wasabi Paste made from Namida® 100% Pure Wasabi Powder
Method
- Saute duck in 2 Tbsp oil until brown.
- Add rest of the ingredients and cook at 200 degrees for two hours or until tender.
For Orange Glaze:
- Combine all ingredients except Namida® Wasabi Paste and bring to boil.
- Simmer for one minute and remove from the heat.
- Stir Namida® Wasabi paste into sauce and let cool.
- Glaze duck legs and broil for one to two minutes until caramelized.
- Add remaining sauce before serving.
