Steak with Wasabi Orange Sauce
An unusual and very tasty dinner. Prepare overnight and come home from work to a beautiful meal without too much work.
Ingredients (per person)
1 Tbsp dark brown sugar
1 Tbsp Namida® Wasabi Paste made from Namida® 100% Pure Wasabi Powder
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp ground ginger
1 Tbsp grated orange peel
1 tsp salt
1 Tbsp olive oil
white pepper to taste
1 piece of steak, trimmed (use the steak you like – personally I prefer rump steak).
1/2 cup brown rice
Fresh green beans
Wasabi-Orange Sauce
1/4 cup lite soy sauce
zest and juice of 1 orange
1 Tbsp Namida® Wasabi Paste made from Namida® 100% Pure wasabi Powder
1 Tbsp honey
1 tsp ground ginger
Method
- Combine ingredients from sugar through pepper.
- Spread over steak, cover and marinate overnight.
- Remove steak from fridge about an hour before grilling.
- About an hour before serving, start the Wasabi Orange sauce.
- Mix all ingredients, cover and set aside.
- Cook the brown rice. Cover and set aside.
- Steam the green beans.
- Grill or pan fry the steak as you like it.
- Remove from grill and let rest a few minutes.
Serve steak over brown rice and steamed fresh green beans with Wasabi Orange Sauce drizzled over the top.
